Breastfeeding week activities took place at Nazilli State Hospital
An awareness event was held at Nazilli State Hospital as part of the 1-7 October Breastfeeding Week activities.
With the contributions of Nazilli State Hospital Deputy Chief Physician Necati Akkaya, Health Services Director Sermin Volaka and Pediatrician Yılmaz Taşkıran, awareness was raised in the event organized by breastfeeding nurses and pregnant school nurses.
The event, which is celebrated in 170 countries for the spread of breastfeeding all over the world and for the development of infants' nutrition, is inspired by the time of the baby's meeting with breast milk every year. It was stated that breast milk, which protects against infections, is an ideal nutritional source containing all kinds of nutritional values such as protein, fat, iron and vitamins that the baby needs for the first 6 months. Informing the mothers about the importance of breast milk and breastfeeding, it was emphasized that breastfeeding protects the mother from ovarian and breast cancer, and it is emphasized that the breastfeeding mother regains her prenatal health and weight more easily.
