Diabetes School Training Continues
The "Diabetes School" training program, organized at our hospital to help diabetic patients better understand their disease, manage it correctly, and improve their quality of life, continues with high participation. As part of the training program, Endocrinology Specialist Dr. Neslihan Soysal Atile provided comprehensive information on the formation, types, treatment methods, and the importance of regular follow-up for diabetes. The importance of controlling diabetes for long-term health was conveyed to the participants. In the training given by the Diabetes Nurse, insulin use, correct injection techniques, and diabetic foot care were discussed, and points that patients should pay attention to in their daily lives were explained in detail. In the information session given by the Dietitian, important information was shared about nutritional principles for diabetic patients, snack schedules, and foods that should not be consumed. The role of balanced and regular nutrition in diabetes management was emphasized. In the program, the Physiotherapist provided information on the positive effects of physical activity on diabetes, suitable exercises that diabetic patients can do, and points to consider during exercise. The contribution of regular exercise to blood sugar control was explained with examples. The aim of the training program was to raise participants' awareness of diabetes and enable them to take a more active role in disease management. Hospital management stated that these types of training sessions will continue at regular intervals.
