A promotional stand was opened at Nazilli State Hospital to raise awareness for World Breastfeeding Week, held from August 1-7. The stand, set up to highlight the importance of breast milk and breastfeeding, distributed informative brochures to residents, and provided one-on-one information from healthcare personnel.
The stand, attended by hospital management and healthcare professionals, provided information to expectant mothers and breastfeeding mothers about proper breastfeeding techniques, the positive effects of breastfeeding on infant health, and key points to consider during the breastfeeding process.
Nazilli State Hospital Chief Physician Dr. Necati Akkaya stated:
“Breast milk is a unique nutritional source for the healthy development of babies. Encouraging breastfeeding is vital for protecting the health of both mothers and babies. With the activities we plan to organize this week, we aim to raise public awareness.”
