Nazilli State Hospital Draws Attention to Hand Hygiene
An information stand was set up at Nazilli State Hospital to draw attention to the importance of hand hygiene as part of May 5th World Hand Hygiene Day. The importance of hand hygiene in health was explained to hospital staff, patients and their relatives at the event organized by the Infection Control Committee.
The correct hand washing techniques were demonstrated in practice at the stand, while the critical role of hand hygiene in preventing infectious diseases was emphasized. Informative brochures were distributed to the participants and the importance of using hand antiseptics was explained.
In the statement made by our hospital chief physician, Specialist Dr. Necati Akkaya, he said, “Hand hygiene is one of the simplest but most effective methods in preventing infections. We attach importance to such events in order to raise awareness in society on the occasion of May 5th World Hand Hygiene Day.”
