During the Midwives Week celebrated in the Birth Service of Nazilli State Hospital, Hospital Chief Physician Specialist. Dr. Necati Akkaya, Deputy Chief Physician Specialist. Dr. Gamze Tüten, Dr. Barbaros Küçükoğlu, NDH. Obstetrician Op. Dr. Şafak Çalışkan, Health Care Services Manager Sermin Volaka and midwives working at the hospital were present.
Nazilli State Hospital Chief Physician Specialist Dr. Necati Akkaya said, "Midwives Week" is celebrated every year between 21-28 April in the world and in our country to draw attention to the importance of 'Midwifery Profession', which is one of the oldest professions in the world.
Midwives; In addition to performing the birth, they also provide services for maternal and child health, prenatal and postnatal mother and baby care services, protective measures for mother and baby, taking medical precautions, and taking first aid and emergency measures when necessary.
Midwives, who help a new being to come into the world, relieve the pain of a mother suffering from labor pain, "ensure that someone who is eagerly and longingly awaited joins the family" and feel the pride of witnessing this miraculous event, have gained a respected place in society for this reason.
Midwives, who provide care services to mothers and babies in the prenatal, birth and postnatal periods, as well as Maternal-Child Health services, perform a very important and sacred duty in the field of health in every corner of our country. Our midwives, who try to fulfill their duties and responsibilities with heavy sacrifices, are indispensable elements of our health system. "I sincerely congratulate all our midwives on Midwife's Day," he said.
